Where We Work
Zimbabwe
Overview
Since 2002, Zimbabwe has struggled with severe droughts. Climate change has exacerbated the situation by limiting access to safe water and severely impacting food security and the livelihoods of local farmers. Decades of economic and political instability have left many unable to afford basic necessities like food, water, healthcare, or education, and children are regularly abandoned due to the cost of raising them.
25.8 percent of Zimbabwe’s population live in poverty and an additional 26.3 percent are at risk of falling into poverty.
We currently have five projects underway in Zimbabwe, working alongside the local communities to share hope and help them create lasting change and a better quality of life.
Through our relief and development partners, we’re providing safe water by installing boreholes in drought-stricken areas, we’re helping farmers build a more sustainable livelihood, and we’re giving orphaned and abandoned children a safe home and access to education.
Through our church partners, we’re setting up local pastors with motorbikes to reach rural communities, and we’re resourcing local churches to spread God’s love.
Will you put your faith into action by supporting our partners in Zimbabwe?
